Out of these competitions, in the Project Tiger 2.0, Tamil language bagged the first place. The articles should have been written with more than 300 words, excluding templates, information box (infobox), references and so on.

Punjabi (Gurmukhi) got the second place (1768 articles) and Bengali, the third place (1460), followed by  Urdu (1377), Santali (566), Hindi (417), Telugu (416), Kannada (249), Malayalam (229), Marathi (220), Assamese (205), Gujarati (202), Odia (155), Tulu (32) and Sanskrit (19).

Articles in Tamil Wikipedia will be of very helpful not only to common people but also to researchers and subject experts for reference. My earnest desire is that articles on all subjects should have a place in Tamil language. To reach that goal I am now translating many articles from English Wikipedia, from English into Tamil. In the meantime I am improving the articles, written by me and others, in Tamil Wikipedia adding more information with relevant links.  By this way I am trying to update the information. Wherever necessary I am uploading the photographs, in Wikicommons, taken by me during the field trips. I have uploaded nearly 1,500 photographs. I welcome newcomers to join in Tamil Wikipedia and start writing. With the advice of senior Wikipedians and friends my journey will continue.
